It truly is mind boggling to think that millions of children in America are going to bed hungry every night. I will never forget the day that one of the scholars in my program (college student) asked me if he could use his scholarship to buy food stamps. This is what our kids are dealing with…and it's unacceptable. So happy to know that there are champions like Share Our Strength and Head Start that are doing something about it.
